Chile’s copper cathode export agreements increase 4.3% in August

Chile’s copper cathode export agreements grew 4.3% in August, compared with the previous month, mainly on increased trade with Asia and Europe, figures from the country’s copper commission, Cochilco, showed.

Agreements for supply and spot contracts totalled 200,439 tonnes in August, compared with 192,165 tonnes reported in July. Agreements for 169,825 tonnes of supply contracts were negotiated in August, up from the 155,475 tonnes reported in the previous month.
