Antimony prices drop further into ‘uncharted territory’

Antimony prices dropped on Friday December 12, as producers pushed to liquidate stock, leaving the market speculating over when prices will hit their floor.

Standard grade II antimony prices fell $50 to $8,650-850 per tonne, while trioxide grade dropped to $8,750-950, its lowest level since July 2010.
Antimony prices have been trading at a four-year low since October, and as prices continue to soften this has left many unsure about how far prices could fall.

“Nobody knows what will happened as we have hit the lowest numbers we have seen for the past three or four years,” a trader based in Europe told Metal...
