Base metals prices fell back in kerb trading
on the London Metal exchange on Monday, closing beneath their opening prices after rising early in the day.
"Almost without exception, metals [were] gaining in price as the year’s last full week of trading [began]," a broker said in a note.
Three-month copper closed the day at $6,400 per tonne, from its official settlement price of $6,499.50/500 per tonne.
