Supreme Court denies Rusal appeal on LME warehousing rules

The UK Supreme Court has refused a request by Rusal to appeal against the recent judgment on warehousing rules at the London Metal Exchange, allowing the LME to push ahead with its plans to ease delivery backlogs at its warehouses.

At the beginning of October the UK Court of Appeal upheld the LME’s appeal against the High Court judgment on its consultation on warehousing rules changes, after the High Court originally ruled that the consultation and change to load-in and load-out rates were “unlawful”.
