Thailand imposes safeguard duty on non-alloy flat steel imports

Thailand has imposed safeguard duties on imports of some hot-rolled flat products from some origin countries, to counter rising shipments into the domestic market.


The measure, announced in the Thai Royal Gazette, relates to non-alloyed flat steels with the product codes given at the bottom of this article.

However, the duties – set initially by the ministry of commerce at 21.92% of the cif price - will only apply...
