Here are some of the key news and price moves to get you off to a good start during the Asian morning on Tuesday December 30.

London Metal Exchange copper prices hit their lowest level in five years yesterday after Greece’s coalition government failed to elect a new leader, triggering a snap election.
After grinding lower throughout the Asian session, the three-month copper contract dropped to a low of $6,230 per tonne as European trading got under way.
