CLOSE TO CLOSE: Copper prices inch back above $6,300

Copper prices rallied back above $6,300 per tonne in kerb trading on the London Metal Exchange on Tuesday December 30, as a modest rise in the euro provided support.

On the last full trading day of the year, three-month copper started weakly after opening at $6,290 per tonne, with the contract bottoming out at $6,260 during Asian trading hours....
