Black Sea pig iron export prices fall on easing steel prices

Prices for pig iron exported from Black Sea ports have fallen by $5-10 per tonne in the past week, driven by weakening steel prices and plentiful supply.

Steel First’s assessment of basic Ukraine-origin pig iron prices on Thursday January 29 dropped to $320-330 per tonne fob from $330-335 per tonne fob last week. “In general, steel prices in our region are going down.
