Eramet narrows losses to $181 million

Eramet narrowed its net loss to €159 million ($181 million) in 2015, citing productivity gains, as well as lower costs and capital expenditure.

The company increased its operating income to €75 million from a loss of €45 million the previous year.
Its net loss took into account €65 million in research costs, €27 million in impairments and €32 million in restructuring costs.
Total company turnover was €3.1 billion, down from €3.2 billion in 2013.
Turnover at the company’s nickel division increased 11% to €781 million, while turnover at the manganese division fell 9% to €1.4 billion.
