5N Plus sees Fanya coming back to bismuth market, prices stabilising

Speciality metals producer 5N Plus expects the Fanya Metal Exchange “or something similar” to come back into the bismuth market, providing some stability to prices.

Jacques L’Ecuyer, the company’s ceo and president, said this during a conference call. His comments came after extreme volatility in the bismuth market on the back of uncertainty on the Fanya exchange led 5N Plus to post a $2.5 million net loss in the fourth quarter, pushing its shares to drop 10%.
