PT Timah caps Indonesian tin exports at 2,500 tpm; Indonesian total capped at 4,500

PT Timah, Indonesia’s largest tin exporter, will cap shipments to 2,500 tonnes per month starting April as it looks to join other smelters in lifting tin prices.

The move follows a meeting between PT Timah and two separate associations of tin exporters in the Banga-Belitung region of Indonesia, Agung Nugroho, corporate secretary PT Timah, told Metal Bulletin.
“As many as 22 smelters, including Timah, are part of the resolution signed today,” he said.
