Brazil's primary aluminium production, imports decrease in April

Brazil’s primary aluminium production continued to fall year-on-year in April, according to the latest figures from the country’s aluminium association, Abal.

Output totalled 65,100 tonnes last month, 28.1% lower than the 90,500 tonnes of primary metal produced in April 2014, according to the latest figures from Brazil's aluminium association, Abal.
Year-to-April, Brazilian production fell 30.2% from the corresponding period of last year, to 271,700 tonnes, the figures showed.
