Codelco's contract workers agree to end labour action

The world’s largest copper producer, Codelco, said that striking contractors have agreed to put an end to the three-week-long labour action that has affected its Ministro Hales and Salvador divisions.

Workers represented by the Chilean copper workers confederation (CTC) had already begun to leave Ministro Hales premises, Codelco said in a statement on Wednesday August 12.
Protesters at Salvador division were expected to follow suit, the miner added.
