China SRB buys "a large sum" of cobalt for stockpiling

China’s State Reserve Bureau (SRB) has purchased “a large sum” of cobalt metal in its latest stockpiling effort, according to sources.

The SRB has managed to secure more than 400 tonnes of cobalt metal, at prices above 210,000 yuan ($32,931) per tonne, sources said. Officials at the SRB were not available for comment on Friday afternoon. That would indicate the SRB still has a stockpiling quota...
