Glencore shares bounce 21.5% after financial, operational assurances

After a 31% drop on Monday September 28, Glencore’s shares bounced by as much as 21.5% on Tuesday after the company confirmed it is in a “robust” financial and operational position.

“Glencore has taken proactive steps to position the company to withstand current commodity market conditions,” a company spokesman said in an emailed statement. “Our business remains operationally and financially robust – we have positive cash flow, good liquidity and absolutely no solvency issues,” he said.
