Annual benchmark copper TC/RCs expected to fall

Analysts expect benchmark copper treatment and refining charges (TC/RCs) for 2016 negotiations between miners and Chinese smelters to decline due to disruptions at mines, delays to some mining projects and cutbacks in production.

Jiangxi Copper and Freeport McMoRan agreed a 16% increase in copper treatment and refining fees for 2015 at $107 per tonne and 10.7 cents per lb after longer-than-usual negotiations.
