INT'L FERRO-ALLOYS CONF: Manganese ore production cuts predicted as prices drop

Manganese ore market participants are predicting large production cuts in South Africa in the coming weeks as prices keep tumbling.

Discussions about the potential for cuts, and in particular who is going to make them, have been central to many discussions at Metal Bulletin’s 31st International Ferro-Alloys Conference in Prague.
Buyers and sellers have been asking which of the large producers in South Africa, which include South32, UMK, Eramet, Kudumane and Tshipi, are most likely to make cuts.
