China’s SRB stockpiles indium, boosts spot prices

China’s State Reserve Bureau (SRB) bought 100 tonnes of indium this week for its minor metals reserves, sources told Metal Bulletin.

The SRB sent out invitations to about five local minor metal producers at the beginning of this week for the purchase of 100 tonnes of indium at 1,310 yuan ($205) per kg, market participants said.
