‘Decisive’ Chinese action on GOES contrasts with 'soft' EU approach, Eurofer says

China’s decision to levy anti-dumping duties of 46.30% on EU-origin imports of flat rolled grain-oriented electrical steel (GOES) contrasts with the EU’s “soft approach” to trade defence measures, according to Eurofer.


The European steel association made its comments to Steel First on Monday July 25, after China’s Ministry of Commerce announced on Saturday that it has imposed final duties on GOES imported from Japan, South Korea and the EU.
The move came after the East Asian country announced provisional anti-dumping duties measures in April 2016.
