DAILY SCRAP REPORT: Turkish import prices fall as news breaks of European, Baltic Sea deals

The daily price indices for steel scrap imports into Turkey both fell on Wednesday January 11 with news being revealed of more deep-sea bookings made on the preceding Friday.

Metal Bulletin’s daily index for Northern Europe-origin HMS 1&2 (80:20) closed on Wednesday at $280.58 per tonne cfr, down by $7.77 per tonne day-on-day. The daily index for USA-origin material closed at $289.33 per tonne cfr, down by $6.95 per tonne day-on-day.
