Cobalt prices jump again as availability tightens

Cobalt prices rose further on Wednesday January 11 as buyers scrambled to secure material in a bullish market.

Metal Bulletin’s low-grade price rose to $15-15.65 per lb from $14.70-15 per lb , while high-grade prices rose to $15.25-16 per lb from $15-15.40.   “Sentiment is still very much favouring higher prices,” a US trader said. “There’s a lot of interest on the buying side.
