Russia joins calls for WTO talks on Indian import restrictions

Russia has joined Japan and Taiwan in requesting consultations at the World Trade Organization (WTO) over India’s use of a minimum import price (MIP) regime.

Russia is concerned about Indian safeguarding duties on imports of hot rolled (HR) sheet products in widths of 600m or more, and the MIPs on certain other iron and steel products, it said.
