Taiwan’s import scrap prices 'will reach $260 per tonne cfr soon'

Import prices for containerised HMS-grade ferrous scrap in Taiwan have spiked this week, amid the recovery in the international markets driven by Turkey and China, with more price increases expected.

Metal Bulletin’s import price assessment for USA-origin HMS 1&2 (80:20) was $243-253 per tonne cfr Taiwan for the week ended Friday February 17.
