DAILY SCRAP REPORT: Turkish mills keep buying for March

Turkish steel producers continued to book scrap on Friday February 17 from deep-sea markets for March delivery.

Two steel producers booked cargoes from US and Baltic Sea suppliers on the day, making the total bookings for this week rise to 230,000 tonnes. A steel producer in the Marmara region booked a US cargo, comprising 12,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $284 per tonne, 10,000 tonnes of shredded at $289 per tonne and 3,000 tonnes of bonus at $294 per tonne cfr.
