ArcelorMittal to acquire Votorantim’s long steel division in Brazil

ArcelorMittal’s Brazilian subsidiary has signed a deal to purchase local long steel producer Votorantim Siderurgia, the companies announced on Thursday February 23.

Under the deal, Votorantim Siderurgia will become a subsidiary of ArcelorMittal Brasil, and parent company Votorantim will own a minority stake in the Brazilian subsidiary of ArcelorMittal. The deal does not include Votorantim’s 100% ownership in Acerbrag in Argentina...
