Main Chinese stainless steel mills lift April ferro-chrome tender prices; rise smaller than expected

Chinese main stainless steel mills lifted their high-carbon ferro-chrome tender price for April to 9,600-9,850 yuan per tonne ($1,393.30-1,429.6 per tonne) on Friday March 31 from the previous month.

Baosteel set its April tender price at 9,850 yuan per tonne, up 350 yuan per tonne from March tender price.

Tsingshan set its April tender price at 9,845 yuan per tonne; it did not announce a March tender price. The group offers a 120-yuan discount if sellers deliver cargoes to Tianjin port.

Taiyuan Iron&Steel (Tisco) set its April tender price at 9,600 yuan per tonne, 300 yuan higher than its March tender price.
