China’s plate export prices fall faster amid concern in securing orders for June shipments

Export prices for Chinese steel plate started to fall at a faster pace over the past week as mills struggled to secure orders for June shipments amid limited interest from overseas buyers.

Metal Bulletin’s weekly assessment for May/June shipments of commercial-grade, chromium-added steel plate fell by $15 per tonne week-on-week to $450-455 per tonne fob on Tuesday April 11.
