LIVE FUTURES REPORT 20/04: Base metals prices rise at LME close; only lead declines

Base metals prices traded on the London Metal Exchange broadly increased at the close of trading on Thursday April 20, with lead the only base metal to see prices fall.

Copper made up for hitting three-month lows earlier this week with a $74 per tonne increase on yesterday’s close price. Tin edged closer to the $20,000 per tonne mark and zinc rose back above $2,600 per tonne after a weak start to the week. "It has been a quiet day of trading on the floor, but things are better than they were at the start of the week though still volatile," a trader said.
