Hyundai Steel’s Q1 profit up 30% on higher prices

Hyundai Steel has reported a 30% jump in operating profit for the first quarter of this year, as it benefited from higher selling prices for both flat and long steel products.

Operating profit on a consolidated basis moved up to 350 billion Won ($309 million) from 269 billion Won ($238 million) in January-March last year, the South Korean steelmaker said on Thursday April 27.
