Singapore rebar import prices fall below $400 cfr for first time in 5 months

Import prices for rebar in Singapore have dropped below $400 per tonne cfr for the first time since the end of November 2016, market participants told Metal Bulletin this week.

The threshold was broken as traders continue short selling the market as they bet on declining prices in China’s domestic market, despite a rebound earlier this week.
