Thailand to extend safeguard duty on non-alloy flat steel imports

Thailand proposes extending by a further three years its safeguard duty on imports of non-alloy hot rolled flat steel products that are mainly sourced from India, Russia and South Korea.

The duty, which was imposed at the end of 2014 for a period of two-and-a-half years, is scheduled to expire on June 6 this year, according to a document posted last week on the World Trade Organization (WTO) website.
