No benchmark settlement yet between coking coal buyers, producers

Buyers in Japan continue to purchase seaborne coking coal cargoes on a provisional price, with the quarterly contracts yet to be settled.

“Many buyers are asking for a top-up in contracted tonnages that are being shipped out now, having not taken any additional tonnages in the previous quarter,” a market participant said.
