USA hits Turkey's Habas with big anti-dumping tariff on rebar

In a move with mixed implications, the US Commerce Department set final anti-dumping margins on rebar imports from Turkey and Japan.

In a decision announced late on Tuesday May 16, the US Commerce Department set anti-dumping rates of 6.94% on Turkey – the so-called “all others” exporter rate – compared with 6.20% in a preliminary ruling on March 1. Habas, and fellow Turkish rebar exporter Icdas, received final rates of 5.39% and 8.17%, respectively.
