Non-standard, poor-quality rebar imports threaten Turkish construction security, TÇÜD says

Some 22,500 tonnes of rusty, uncertified and non-standard, Italy-origin rebar arrived at different Turkish ports in the first week of June, the Turkish Steel Producers Assn (TÇÜD) said on Monday June 12.

“Some contractors distorted the facts and claimed that the domestic rebar supply has had difficulties and some rusty, [uncertified] Italian rebar arrived.
