CIS export HRC, CRC prices inch up on higher offers from Russia

Export prices for CIS flat steel moved up slightly over the past week, with some higher offers announced by Russian steelmakers – although no deals have been done as yet, sources said.

“Demand for the CIS-origin flat steel is weak, but stable,” a Middle East-based trader said.
Metal Bulletin’s price assessment for CIS export hot rolled coil (HRC) was $430-445 per tonne fob Black Sea on Monday June 12, up by $5 on the higher end from $430-440 per tonne fob in the previous week.
