US rebar duties against Mexico, Turkey lowered

Certain duties on Mexican and Turkish rebar were revised down to almost zero last week in administrative reviews by the US Commerce Department.

Anti-dumping duties on Mexican exporters Deacero and Grupo Simec were revised from 20.58% to 0.56%, and 66.70% to zero, respectively, according to Commerce filings from June 8. Rates for other Mexican rebar exporters remain at 20.58%, the rate established in a 2014 trade case. Grupo Acerero, which did not participate in the review, still faces margins of 66.70%.
