LIVE FUTURES REPORT 16/06: SHFE copper inventories up 4.6% w-o-w

Deliverable copper stocks at Shanghai Futures Exchange-approved warehouses increased by 8,752 tonnes or 4.6% week-on-week to 199,014 tonnes as of Friday June 16.

This week, SIPG Logistics in Shanghai saw the largest stock increase – 6,559 tonnes of the metal entered its sheds. A stronger dollar and fears of continued tightness in China’s monetary market has put pressure on copper prices recently. The most-traded SHFE copper contract closed at 45,490 yuan per tonne on June 16, down from 45,930 yuan a week earlier....
