Capstone agrees $21.7 mln deal to sell Kutcho copper-zinc project to Desert Star

Canadian mining company Capstone Mining has agreed to sell its Kutcho copper-zinc project to Desert Star in a cash-plus-equity deal, the company said.

The Kutcho project, which is not yet in production, has an expected life of 12 years during which output of 14,966 tpy (33 million lb per year) of copper and 20,862 tpy of zinc (46 million lb per year) is expected at an all-in sustaining cash cost $2,139 per tonne of copper, according to...
