LIVE FUTURES REPORT 16/06: LME base metals prices finish week on higher note

Base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange ended broadly higher on Friday June 16, led by a 1% rise in three-month nickel.

Zinc and lead recorded gains while consolidating within recent ranges and tin continued to recover after hitting lows last week, closing at $19,650 per tonne. “Prices [were] contained in narrow ranges. Zinc and nickel benefitted early on from a tick up in Far East steel futures,” Sucden Financial said in a note.
