German scrap prices down $11-22 per tonne in June

German steel mills settled their monthly contracts for ferrous scrap purchases at prices down by €10-20 ($11-22) per tonne in June, sources told Metal Bulletin this week.

The decrease was driven by weak export demand for German scrap both in other EU countries and in Turkey.
