LATIN AMERICA FLAT STEEL WRAP: June's import price rises expected to continue

Flat steel import prices in South America have showed some gains during June, after negative momentum at the beginning of the month, and the upward trend is expected to continue in the coming weeks.

Metal Bulletin’s weekly price assessment for cold rolled coil (CRC) imports into the region was $505-520 per tonne cfr on Friday June 23, up from $494-510 per tonne cfr on Friday June 9.
Over the same period, imports of hot rolled coil (HRC) moved to $475-485 per tonne cfr from $460-470 per tonne cfr, while hot dipped galvanized coil (HDG) imports increased to $580-590 per tonne cfr from $560-575 per tonne cfr.
