Ternium expects Nafta countries to be excluded from USA's Section 232 probe actions

Latin American steel group Ternium expects Mexico and Canada to be excluded from measures related to the USA’s Section 232 investigation into the alleged national security consequences of its steel imports.

“It does not make any sense to make a trade war between the countries in the North American Free Trade Agreement [Nafta],” Ternium Mexico executive president Máximo Vedoya said in a conference call on Thursday June 29.
