CIS export slab prices move up in wake of rise in flat steel, raw materials

Export prices for CIS-origin slab started to move up in the first days of July, supported by rising flat steel prices and higher iron ore and scrap costs, sources told Metal Bulletin this week.

Indications of slab offers from Russian and Ukrainian mills were reported at $400-410 per tonne fob Black Sea, compared with $390 per tonne fob Black Sea in the second half of June....
