Workers at Chile's Zaldívar copper mine vote to strike

Workers at the Zaldívar copper mine in Chile have voted to go on strike after rejecting the company’s latest contract offer, the union representing workers at the mine said on Monday July 10.

Following the workers’ decision, the company now has four days to request government-mediated negotiations, known as "buenos oficios".
