LIVE FUTURES REPORT 14/07: Comex copper rises amid dollar crash

Comex copper prices were set to finish the trading week on strong footing amid a tumbling dollar.

Copper for September delivery on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange rose 2.45 cents or 0.9% to $2.6860 per lb. Comex gold for August settlement gained $11.70 or 1% to $1,229.0 per oz. Trade has ranged from $1,214.0 to $1,232.70. The dollar index dipped 0.59% to 95.23, the lowest since September 2016.
