EU steel imports to drop in H2 2017 regardless of trade cases, Jefferies says

Steel imports into the European union are likely to decline in the second half of the year, regardless of trade case outcomes, according to investment bank Jefferies.

"The reality is that steel imports are becoming less competitive as a result of rising Asian/CIS prices and collapsing intra-regional spreads," the investment bank said on Friday July 14.
