China's HRC export prices rise further on domestic market gains

China’s export prices for hot rolled coil have risen for a sixth week on continued upward momentum in the domestic market.

Metal Bulletin’s assessment of prices for September shipments of commercial-grade, boron-containing SS400 HRC was $478-505 per tonne fob for the week ended Tuesday July 18, up $3-20 over the past week.
China’s export prices for HRC have risen by $63-85 per tonne over the past six weeks, according to Metal Bulletin’s price archive.

According to market participants, there were deals being concluded at $495-505 per tonne cfr Pakistan (including freight of $17 per tonne) last Wednesday.
