DAILY SCRAP REPORT: Indices jump again with fresh deep-sea trades

Turkish steel producers have continued their deep-sea scrap bookings for September, as expected, with prices climbing higher on Tuesday August 1.

Metal Bulletin’s daily scrap index for Northern Europe-origin HMS 1&2 (80:20) scrap closed at $317.37 per tonne cfr, up by $4.69 per tonne day-on-day. The daily index for USA-origin material closed the day at $327.91 per tonne cfr, up by $5.22 per tonne day-on-day.
