Asia import slab prices keep climbing but buying remains weak

Import slab prices in Asia have continued to rise over the past week, supported by the reduced availability of the material in the region as well as growing global finished flat steel and raw materials prices, Metal Bulletin learnt on Monday August 7.

This has led to mismatches of bids and offers, which in turn has resulted in the lack of buying activity.
