BULLION LATEST 10/08: Gold firm; US-North Korea tensions support

Gold prices held firm during Asian morning trading on Thursday August 10, finding support from an escalation in tensions in the Korean peninsula which has seen the yellow metal well bid.

The spot gold price was quoted at $1,276.40-1,276.70 per oz as of 04:19 GMT, down $0.05. Trade has ranged from $1,274.65-1,277.15 so far today. A ramp-up in the war of words between the USA and North Korea has continued to buoyed gold prices this morning.
